Pull up a seat and let's eat - Restaurant Week is coming to College Station August 24-30! Get ready to taste your way through College Station. During Restaurant Week, local favorites across town are serving up special menus and pricing, making it easier than ever to try something new or finally visit that spot you’ve had your eye on. Whether it’s a laid-back lunch or a night out, this week is all about exploring the local food scene, discovering new favorites and enjoying a citywide celebration of everything that makes Aggieland worth a bite. Even better, every meal gives back. Ten percent of all menu proceeds (excluding alcohol) will benefit the Brazos Valley Food Bank, so you can feel good about every stop along the way. Come hungry, try more, spend less and support local in a way that truly makes an impact.

What to expect:

Eight restaurants have signed on to headline the inaugural event, and each has crafted a special prix fixe menu just for the week — a curated choice of starter, entrée and dessert built to showcase the dishes that define them, from signature plates to new creations. Lunch is set at $25, while dinner runs $45, $55 or $65 depending on the restaurant, giving diners a true taste of each restaurant's best at one set price.

Whether you’re looking for a new favorite place for a date night, meeting friends for dinner or making a full week out of it, it’s all about trying something new and supporting local along the way.

Bite Off More Than You Can Chew

Eight kitchens, seven nights, one fixed price at each. Steakhouses, Tex-Mex, Italian and Brazilian, all serving their best work during Restaurant Week. Choose one or try them all at your own pace!

Brazos - Proper Texas Kitchen

Brazos - Proper Texas Kitchen is the signature restaurant inside the Doug Pitcock '49 Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center, sitting right across from Kyle Field in the heart of campus. The whole concept is a nod to Texas agriculture, with much of the menu sourced from Texas farms and ranches, some of them partnered with the university itself. It's Aggieland heritage on a plate, dressed up for a night out. For Restaurant Week, the porterhouse pork chops over coconut-braised collard greens make a fitting centerpiece.

Casa do Brasil

Casa do Brasil opened in College Station in 2017 and is still the city's only Brazilian steakhouse. Its Restaurant Week dinner runs the full rodízio: unlimited trips to a 50-plus-dish salad bar, then Gaucho chefs carving eight cuts tableside, from top sirloin to bacon-wrapped chicken to pork ribs, at the flip of your coaster from red to green. Be sure to save room for the piña colada panna cotta.

Casa Mangiare

Casa Mangiare grew out of founder Regis Cerutti's mission to bring genuine high-end Italian dining to Aggieland, the kind where the pasta is made by hand and nothing takes a shortcut. Chef Antonio builds the menu around imported ingredients, prime and Wagyu steaks, and coastal seafood, served in a chandelier-lit room off University Drive that locals treat as College Station's date-night standard. When you go, ask about a pairing from their world-class wine cellar.

De Baca Steakhouse

De Baca Steakhouse takes its name from owner Jim Baca's ancestor, the 16th-century explorer Cabeza de Vaca, who survived a shipwreck and made his way on foot across what's now Texas. Jim and his wife Michaela, a Former Student of Texas A&M, opened the steakhouse in 2022 on the south side of town around a simple idea borrowed from that story: good food brings people together. The dining room and sunset patio feel elevated without the stuffiness. On the Restaurant Week menu, the 6 oz Chateaubriand with veal demi-glace is the move.

Juanita's Tex-Mex Cantina

Juanita's Tex-Mex Cantina comes from the team behind Porters and Red's Ice House, and it's their most colorful concept, planted right on The Green at Century Square overlooking the pool at The George hotel. The kitchen calls it Mex-Tex-Mex: handmade tortillas, hickory pit-smoked meats and family recipes that bridge interior Mexican cooking and Texas favorites, all inside a room wrapped in hand-painted murals. For Restaurant Week, start with the smoked birria empanadas before a plate of sizzling mixed fajitas.

The Office of the Dean

At The Office of the Dean, hand-cut Texas beef and Gulf Coast seafood anchor a menu that runs from blue lump crab cakes to shrimp and grits, served under skylights in a dining room built for date nights and long dinners. Tucked behind it, a speakeasy called The Chancellor pours craft cocktails for anyone who finds their way in.

Porters Dining + Butcher

An integral part of the Century Square restaurant family, Porters Dining + Butcher wears its theme proudly. The logo is a meat cleaver, a whole wall of them sits buried in mesquite behind the host stand, and a painted diagram of beef cuts (relabeled with the staff's own names) tips its hat to the region's ranching past. It's a polished, wood-fired steakhouse with a glass wine room and an in-house sommelier, tucked beside The George hotel pool.

Red's Ice House

Red's Ice House puts a local spin on a Texas classic: the neighborhood icehouse, that easygoing spot for cold beer and good company, turned up to 12... Aggieland style. Sitting on University Drive with 60 beers on tap, dozens of TVs, a dog-friendly patio and live music on Saturdays, it's built for game day and lazy afternoons alike. The kitchen gives bar favorites a little polish without losing the fun. For Restaurant Week, we'd recommend sharing the firecracker shrimp and close with the cast-iron skillet cookie.

What even is Restaurant Week?

According to the Penn Jersey Papers, Restaurant Week began in New York City in 1992, where restaurateur Joe Baum and critic Tim Zagat created a four-day promotional event designed to feed 15,000 reporters visiting for the Democratic National Convention. It was formed to be a "great equalizer" that could unite the city's citizens under one roof with one goal in mind... enjoying good food.

As of today, restaurant weeks happen in cities worldwide where for one week, participating local restaurants serve specially priced, multi-course prix fixe menus, giving you an easy reason to revisit a favorite or finally try that spot you've had your eye on.

Here in College Station, we hope that you'll try more, spend less and love local... just like we do!

How do menus and pricing work?

Every participating restaurant offers a fixed-price, multi-course menu built just for the week. Lunch is $25, and dinner comes in at $45, $55 or $65 depending on the restaurant. You get a full multi-course experience at one set price, so you know what you're spending before you sit down.

Does Restaurant week give back to the community?

Yes! Ten percent of all menu proceeds (excluding alcohol) benefits the Brazos Valley Food Bank, so every meal helps feed neighbors across the region. Good food, good cause.

Should I make a reservation?

No, but they are highly encouraged, as seats will likely fill fast during Restaurant Week! Check out the list of participating restaurants to book your tables.
