Annual Events & Weekend Things To Do
For an only-in-College Station experience, plan to attend one of the city’s annual festivals. In April, join local farmers and artisans at Homegrown at Northgate to peruse handcrafted goods and eat from local food trucks. In May, the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra hosts its annual fundraiser, Derby Day. Billed as the largest Christmas attraction in Texas, Santa’s Wonderland is a months-long spectacle with family hayrides, horse and carriage tours, and a dazzling holiday lights display featuring over three million lights.
The city hosts regular cultural events (including Broadway shows and film screenings) in venues like the Rudder Theatre Complex. There’s never a shortage of fun on the weekends, with trivia nights, community workout classes, and live music at Century Square. Concerts in College Station are an integral part of the local culture, with artists spanning a range of genres, from classical to hip-hop to country. And, of course, Aggie football is the lifeblood of the city.
