Aggie Football: An Epic Tradition

There’s nothing quite like a game day in College Station. From the roar of 100,000+ fans inside Kyle Field to the legendary tailgating outside it, Aggie football weekends deliver unmatched energy, tradition and Texas-sized hospitality!

Texas A&M's fall home games this season open with Missouri State (Sept. 5) before Arizona State arrives for the Red, White & Blue Game (Sept. 12) in honor of America's 250th anniversary, Arkansas comes to town for Texas A&M's 150th Celebration (Oct. 3) and the season saves its two loudest nights for last: Operation Blackout against Tennessee (Nov. 14) and the Cotton Holdings Lone Star Showdown against Texas (Nov. 27), a Maroon Out under the lights.

The electric atmosphere surrounding games, including Friday night's iconic midnight yell practice and the famous cheering, yelling and swaying of the "12th Man" inside Kyle Field, creates an authentic Texas college football experience you won't find anywhere else.

Farmers Fest 2026

Held in the heart of Aggieland, Farmers Fest 2026 features a lineup of top-notch performers including The Jack Wharff Band, Buffalo Traffic Jam and featuring headliner/Former Student, Dylan Gossett. This student-led festival is a worthy cause, dedicated to raising funds for Kairos Christian School in Antigua, Guatemala. So whether you're two-stepping under the stars or sampling the local bites, Farmers Fest is a can't-miss experience that captures the spirit of College Station.

2026 College Station Oktoberfest 10K & Half Marathon

Sunday, October 25 | 7 am

Get your heart pumping with the 2026 College Station Oktoberfest 10K & Half Marathon. Take in the scenic surroundings of College Station and complete the run inside Kyle Field. Along with a race you won't soon forget, every finisher earns fun swag like a beer glass and a medal! And, of course, the post-run Oktoberfest is a can't-miss event, where music, craft beer and flavorsome treats come together. Proceeds benefit Mercy Project, a local nonprofit working to end child slavery in Ghana.

Tank or Treat 2026

Sunday, October 25 | 1-3 PM

Costumes and combat vehicles make better company than you'd think. Families will love an afternoon of Halloween fun at the Museum of the American G.I., where kids can try their hand at pumpkin chuckin', pumpkin bowling and spooky cornhole before crafting a keepsake at the make-a-mask station. Snap photos of your costumed crew with real WWII tanks and vehicles as the backdrop, then stick around to explore the museum floor. Kids 12 and under who come in costume get in free!

Markets Worth the Trip

Fall mornings around here have a wonderful way of turning into full day experiences, and the local market scene is happy to help.

The Vendor Market at Hotel McCoy takes over the hotel's mural-lined courtyard on Friday evenings once a month, when local makers and vintage sellers set up shop and a band plays into the night. It's free, it's dog friendly and the bar keeps the handcrafted cocktails coming while you browse.

Saturday mornings belong to the Aggieland Farmers Market in the Post Oak Mall parking lot near Murdoch's. Thirty-plus vendors bring produce, meat, eggs, fresh bread and jam they grew or made themselves. Come hungry, because the food trucks and live music are half the reason people stay past their shopping list. Open every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine.

The Arts at Rudder Theatre

The OPAS season at Rudder Theatre brings the best of Broadway and beyond to College Station each fall, and Season 54, titled "True Colors," is no exception. September opens with Behind the Lines: A 9/11 Story, followed days later by Aiden Ross: Homecoming, a hometown celebration for the winner of The Voice Season 28. October brings The Phil Collins Story to Rudder Auditorium, then Jim Henson's Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock Live turns Halloween weekend over to the whole family. November closes the fall slate with Churchill & Roosevelt: The Christmas That Saved the World and the Neil Diamond musical A Beautiful Noise. Brazos Valley Fair & Rodeo

October 23-25 | 1-3 PM | Brazos County Expo Complex

Get ready for three unforgettable nights of high-energy rodeo action at the Brazos Valley Fair & Rodeo! Cowboys Professional Rodeo Association competition brings top cowboys and cowgirls to the arena for bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, breakaway, team roping, tie-down roping, barrel racing and bull riding, plus fan-favorite youth events like Mutton Bustin'. Performances start at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24, then wrap up Sunday, October 25 at 2:30 p.m. Whether you're a lifelong rodeo fan or attending your first one, this is an authentic Texas experience in the heart of the Brazos Valley. The carnival, livestock shows and live music run across both weekends.
