The Texas A&M College of Performance, Visualization and Fine Arts will celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States with two free concert events featuring “Fort Sam’s Own” 323d Army Band from Fort Sam Houston.
Sept. 28 at 7 p.m.: “Rock, Pop and Beyond”
Small ensembles with Texas A&M Music Program students
Sept. 29 at 7 p.m.: “Sounding the Republic”
Full 323d Army Band with Music, Theatre and Visualization student collaborations. The event explores the lasting influence of military music and how it has inspired generations.
