Civil War: School of the Soldier
Overview
Being a soldier during the Civil War was more than battle and travel, most of the soldiers' existence revolved around camp life. These civilians turned soldiers needed to be taught everything, from tent layout to daily drills, camp life was tightly regulated.
The Museum of the American G.I. invites you to interact with and observe this living history display as a Civil War Soldier goes about his daily routine.
Camps will be open:
10 AM to 5 PM on Saturday, September 12th
10 AM to 3PM on Sunday, September 13th
This is an outdoor event included with museum admission.
