Brian Bachmann Community Park
Overview
At 42.32 acres, Brian Bachmann Community Park offers the size and versatility to accommodate a variety of events. The highlight of the complex is the six lighted baseball fields (four with 200 feet fences and two with 300 feet fences), which are currently undergoing extensive renovations that began in September 2024. The park also boasts two lighted adult soccer fields, three youth soccer fields, two concession buildings, four lighted tennis courts, two lighted basketball courts, one playground, horseshoe pits, one sand volleyball court, a Pavilion, Community Center, Pool, and Skate Park. The Pavilion has a capacity of 300, with a full kitchen, 25 picnic tables, barbecue pit, lights, water and electrical outlets. The Southwood Community Center has a meeting room, game room, computer lab, kitchen with an ice machine, big-screen TV, and coffee service. The Cindy Hallaran Pool is a 25 yard pool, with beach entry in the shallow end and an overall depth of 4ft. The Pool has a Clam Slide, swimming lanes, shade, shallow water for tots and non-swimmers. The G. Hysmith Skate Park is designed for all skill levels. It is a competition quality skate park, made mostly of concrete.
