A Guide to College Station’s Biggest Events of the Summer
The busiest time of the summer in College Station is approaching and we’ve made a guide to make sure you don’t miss a thing.
Some of the summer’s biggest events are happening in the span of three days from the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library Centennial celebration to George Strait: The King at Kyle and more. Whether you’re here for all of the fun or just a snippet, we want to make sure you’re stay in College Station is as enjoyable as possible!
To start the event packed week, the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum is kicking off with a centennial celebration of former President George H.W. Bush, 41@100: A Celebration of George H.W. Bush. This event features a schedule of events from June 11th – 13th for Bush Alumni and the community to celebrate the extraordinary life and achievements of our 41st President. On June 13th, the public is invited to Community Celebration Day, to experience the grand opening of Marine One/4141 Locomotive Pavilion. The event will include free admission to the George Bush Library, cake and ice cream at the Rotunda, a free concert with country music legends and former Aggies, Robert Earl Keen and Lyle Lovett and more! All events will be free but registration is required.
Free music performances from ol’ Ags doesn’t stop there! On June 14th, head out to the Dixie Chicken to celebrate the College Station staple’s 50th birthday! The 50th Birthday Bash will feature: Max and Heather Stalling with Dub Miller, Keller Cox, Donice Morace, and Hayden Baker. Don’t miss the celebration of Aggieland’s most beloved gathering place!
It’s a time of celebrations and The Gardens at Texas A&M is adding to the fun with their 6th birthday festivities with a free family friendly summer celebration the morning of June 15th. Attendees can enjoy snow cones, refreshments and various educational demonstrations and activity tables. The Gardens will also provide a sensory free/quiet zone for anyone who may want or need a quieter environment at any point during the event.
And if that isn’t enough festivities for you, The King of Country, George Strait will be joined by special guests, Parker McCollum and Catie Offerman for a once in a lifetime opportunity - The King at Kyle Field will be the only concert he will play in Texas; it’s an event you won’t want to miss!
