Ellis Field
Overview
Ellis Field, the home of Texas A&M Soccer, is widely regarded as one of the premier college soccer facilities in the country. Boasting one of the finest natural grass playing surfaces in the sport, the stadium has been home of the Texas A&M soccer program since 1994. The stadium shone on the national stage in 2005, 2007, and 2009 when Aggieland played host to the NCAA Women’s College Cup. With dimensions of 115 yards by 75 yards, the regulation NCAA championship field features Tifway Bermuda grass with a state-of-the-art drainage system that can handle upwards of three inches of rain per hour. The official seating capacity is 3500, but additional space around the pitch can accommodate crowds of over 8,000 and big matches routinely draw over 5,000.
