Barbara's Saturday Storytime
Overview
Do you love a fun party? Join us on March 1, 2025, at 10 a.m. for Barbara's Saturday Storytime as we celebrate the 121st birthday of Dr. Seuss!
We’re thrilled to welcome our special guest reader, the Cat in the Hat! He’ll be reading some of his favorite classics and will be available for photos afterward.
This year’s celebration will be our biggest yet! We’ll also have a special visit from the Leprechaun, who will read “The Story of the Leprechaun” by Katherine Tegen ahead of St. Patrick’s Day. To make things even more exciting, he’ll be passing out green eggs—and a few lucky kids will find gold eggs in his bag! If you get a gold egg, you’ll take home an awesome prize!
Plus, we’ll read “Armadillo Rodeo” by Jan Brett in honor of Texas Independence Day.
Don’t forget: the first 100 kids to sign up will receive one of the books read that day, and all who register will enjoy free admission to the museum for the day.
We can't wait to celebrate with you!
Barbara's Saturday Storytime honors the legacy of former First Lady Barbara Bush’s passion for literacy. Each Barbara’s Saturday Storytime event will feature a new theme and a special guest reader, aiming to create an engaging and interactive experience for children and families alike.
This program is designed to encourage family educational time, so we welcome all members of the family to join us in this enriching experience.
