Meet for Brunch at These Spots

Brunch - Toasted Yolk

Whether you have family coming into town or planning a meal with your friends, Easter weekend is a great opportunity to enjoy a brunch get together. Whatever you’re craving, College Station has several neighborhood spots to pick from.

Porters offers delectable fare in a tastefully upscale environment, with brunch staples that include French toast, Nutella waffles, and ribeye and eggs served with potato hash, toast, and heirloom grape tomatoes. For a more casual meal, Stella Southern Cafe is known for its comfort food breakfasts, from biscuit French toast to traditional eggs-and-bacon plates, plus exclusive Easter brunch items. A mimosa with freshly squeezed orange juice, strawberry basil, or lemon blueberry rounds out any meal nicely.

For something a bit different, Sweet Paris boasts a menu of truly scrumptious (savory and sweet) crepes. Try the Croque Madame—scrambled eggs, gruyere, smoked ham, and bechamel sauce—or Le Mexicain, which comes with eggs, queso fresco, refried beans, and cinnamon spiced carnitas. If you want a classic, farm-to-table breakfast, the Toasted Yolk Cafe serves tasty omelets, brisket and veggie scrambles, avocado toast, and biscuits and gravy. Their specialty coffees will definitely put a pep in your step.

Events for Everyone

George Bush Library Easter Egg Hunt

Bring your Easter basket for a fun family day at one of College Station’s seasonal celebrations.

Held at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum, the Annual Easter Celebration includes an Easter egg hunt, balloon animals, and photos with the Easter Bunny, among other activities. This event is modeled after the annual White House Easter Egg Roll and is free and open to the public. The Brazos Valley Local Easter Egg Hunt is another popular event—along with hunting for eggs, kids can get their faces painted in a rainbow of colors and play games.

Or, have your own Easter picnic and egg hunt. College Station’s parks offer a scenic slice of urban nature, providing the ideal backdrop for Easter festivities. Set your little bunnies loose on the grass at Stephen C. Beachy Central Park, Research Park, Bee Creek Park, or Wolf Pen Creek, all with ample green space and family-friendly amenities. Hike along a nature trail, ride a bike, and let the kiddos go crazy on the playground. Then, enjoy a picnic on the lawn before diving into all that sweet Easter candy.

Spring into a memorable Easter celebration in College Station with a delicious brunch, an egg hunt, or a family picnic in the park.
