Old Fashioned 4th of July in the Park

The festivities begin Thursday morning with a good, old-fashioned Independence Day celebration! This free, annual celebration presented by the Brazos Heritage Society will include a flag-raising, children's parade, music, refreshments and more.

“I Love America 4th of July Celebration”

Grab your lawn chairs, picnic baskets and blankets and spend Fourth of July at the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum at this annual family-friendly event. Admission to the Bush Presidential Library & Museum will be free all day, with food trucks, train rides & bounce houses for kids, live music (featuring Great American Boxcar Chorus and the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra), and will finish with the best fireworks show in BCS!

Museum of the American G.I.

Take a step into the past as you explore the temporary exhibits and permanent collections honoring those who have served in our country’s military. The Day by Day: D-Day to D-Day +84 exhibit features daily situation maps of the first 85 days of the Normandy Campaign. A special highlight of the exhibit will be a display of items belonging to Lt. Col James Earl Rudder commander of the 2nd Ranger battalion. Come see D-Day in a new way!
